Jaguar XJ8 X350 Center Console Removal

    2
By Jason Kent on July 6, 2015 Projects, Upgrades
I removed the console this weekend to investigate upgrading the stereo in the XJ8. It’s a pretty simple process but I took photos of the steps along the way because it always helps me when I’m researching how to do something if there are pictures. I’ll write up more on this post in the near future.

I am not a professional mechanic (or writer) but I take pride in fixing cars and not only keeping them going but making them better. I have slightly above average skills just like I would expect a lot of people who find this website do. Please follow my advice at your own risk... sometimes I fix things but sometimes I make them worse!

I hope I don’t break anything. My shifter took a crap. What stereo did U install?

Good luck! It’s been a while since I did this but I don’t recall anything being too breakable. These projects always turn out to be more tricky than I think, watching someone do something in 10 minutes on YouTube and it ends up taking me 4 hours! We never ended up changing the stereo, the car is still going strong though, around 192,000 miles on it now.
