Linking a Jaguar XJ8 key fob to the driver’s seat memory

In order to store the driver’s seat position on a Jaguar X350 XJ8 you will need to follow the following steps.

    1. Adjust the seat, steering column, pedals and exterior rear view mirrors to the desired positions
    2. Insert the key into the ignition and leave it in the off position
    3. Push the M memory button on the door panel and the red light will illuminate for 5 seconds
    4. While the light is on select either the 1, 2 or 3 memory option to memorize the settings, a chime will sound to indicate the settings have been saved.
    5. (optional) If you want to also assign the key fob you are using to this configuration you will need to press any button on the remote during the 5 second period. A double horn chirp will let you know if you are successful.

I am not a professional mechanic (or writer) but I take pride in fixing cars and not only keeping them going but making them better. I have slightly above average skills just like I would expect a lot of people who find this website do. Please follow my advice at your own risk... sometimes I fix things but sometimes I make them worse!

Thanks for your informative information regarding the Jaguar XJ8 Components. I would like to see a video of the same removal process of trunk liner removal and Center Console Trim to allow exchange of Trunk Electronics & Auto Shifter.
If you know of a Video I would like to know about how to view. Thanks, MTM
